TNI Marine battalion 7 posted at Pante Bayam village, Simpang Ulim shot automatic fire toward fish pools and swamps. Fish farmers and other villagers fled for their lives from that shooting area. One people who fled but ran into the TNI was severely beaten and his hut was burnt. TNI reasoned "the sinner runs, the innocent stays". But, everyone there fled.

18 teams of TNI Yonif 900 Raiders and TNI Yonif 511 conducted SaDO and checked the implementation of "limited family food stock program", in which TNI forbade villagers from keeping more than 2 kg of rice per family per day. Upon checking, TNI brutalized 10 family heads because it found rice of more than 2 kg in each family.

In Meunasah Peureupuk one woman, Nurbaiti Abdullah (28) was accused to have hidden a handphone was stripped naked and fondled by TNI which is consisted mostly of young thugs. A small boy was called and forced to look into the poor woman’s genital for possible handphone concealment in it. The true reason behind this was because the lady was a good-looking one. The perpetrators were TNI battalion 514 Com-A and battalion 503.

One female, Huryati Ismail (35) with her child Mukhtar Harun (5) resident of Mns Peureupok adjacent to Blang Mane, has been taken hostage when she was in a betle nut field in the neighboring village. She left a 14-month old baby at home. Along with this women, 3 youngsters have been taken hostage in TNI post at Buket Simpang Bakhe. They are:

They were all beaten up upon abduction. TNI alleged them delivering supplies to TNA.

Huryati Ismail (35), a woman who has been taken hostage altogether with her child and 3 other youngsters by TNI Yonif 514 Company A and Yonif 503. She has been placed with other female hostages from different villages. All women are apparently GAM’s wives. They were tortured and stripped naked and tied on a small hill in the back of the TNI post.

While the 3 youngsters Mawardi Ismail (15), Musliadi Saifuddin (14), Yusri Abdullah (14), and other hostage from different location, Abdurrahman Ubit (28) have been taken to jungle with them as pointers which usually executed after use. They were herded to jungle at 1830 hours same day.

TNI and Police forces have issued a grand summon to the people of Abdya District to attend a rally in the capital Blang Pidie. The rally, which is scheduled to take place at 1400 hours, is to demand the extension of the expiring Civil Emergency. Indonesian forces have warned people to "lift up" anyone who doesn’t join the rally.
